President Trump, please investigate abortion injuries
Dear President Trump,
For decades, the abortion lobby has falsely claimed that abortion is one of the “safest” procedures a woman can have, often calling abortion “safer than pregnancy.” However, that claim is made with an overwhelming lack of evidence, as there is no national vehicle for tracking abortion deaths or injuries! Many states do not even require reporting for abortion injuries.
Meanwhile, Operation Rescue receives eyewitness reports, week after week, of women being transported by ambulance from abortion clinics. Many end up in the local ER due to dangerous complications like a perforated uterus or uncontrollable bleeding – none of which abortion clinics are prepared to treat.
Operation Rescue investigates every report we receive, collecting 911 records, filing complaints, and sometimes, tragically, requesting autopsies. Long years of investigation and thorough documentation confirm this truth: abortion is not safe for women.
The American people – especially women – deserve to know the truth about abortion complications. We are petitioning you to investigate the true rate of abortion injuries and establish some vehicle for mandatory reporting.
Abortion is not safe, Mr. President. And those who try to convince women otherwise have something to gain. Please protect the American people. Please expose the truth. Please prevent one more woman from being loaded into an ambulance, bleeding to death, because someone told her, “Abortion is safe.”
