Las Vegas, NV — Operation Rescue has received a letter from the Nevada State Board of Medical Examiners (NSBME) indicating that it will not consider disciplinary action against Las Vegas abortionist Adam V. Levy.
Levy was convicted on child abuse and neglect charges related to sexual crimes against underage minors. He also has a record of numerous medical malpractice case payouts which include the death of a woman from a botched abortion.
“The NSBME appears to be covering up for a dangerous man who engaged in documented cases of pedophilia and was so bad at his job as an abortionist that he killed one woman and seriously injured many others,” said Operation Rescue President Troy Newman. “Their unconscionable decision to turn a blind eye to these egregious acts places women and minor girls at continued risk.”
The NSBME’s letter was in response to a complaint filed by Operation Rescue against Levy on January 14, 2025, after a nationwide investigation into abortionists who have engaged in sex crimes. That investigation resulted in the creation of the Dirty Doctors Digest, a listing of such criminals within the Abortion Cartel meant to warn the public of abortionists with a history of committing sexual abuse.
The NSBME response to the complaint stated, “The facts as alleged in your complaint do not represent a violation of the Nevada Medical Practice Act.”
However, contrary to the Board’s letter, the complaint not only cited details of allegations against Levy, but provided documented evidence of each allegation and a copy of the applicable law (NRS 630.301) that indeed provides for disciplinary action – including license revocation – against licensees that commit child abuse and/or medical malpractice.
Sexual Abuse of Minors = Pedophilia
According to court documents, in 1998, Levy was criminally charged with seven felony counts related to “sexual assault with a minor under sixteen years of age” and “lewdness with a child under the age of fourteen” that took place between 1995 and 1997. Details of his actions as they appeared in court records are graphic and shocking.
To hide the truth about Levy’s horrific conduct, these court records are now under seal. However, Operation Rescue has received redacted copies obtained by a member of the public before that action took place.

Astonishingly, in 2002, Levy was allowed to make an Alford Plea in which he pled guilty to two misdemeanor counts of Child Abuse and Neglect. That helped him avoid a trial where he ran the risk of receiving a tougher sentence, if convicted. The Alford Plea allowed him to maintain his innocence to the original charges and receive an indulgent sentence of a suspended one-year term in prison and three years of probation. It also provided him with possible protection against any civil suits that may have resulted from his guilty plea.
There is no record that Levy was ever disciplined for his crimes by the NSBME, as he should have been under Nevada law.
“Such a lenient approach by any Medical Board seems unimaginable, and a history of malpractice shows Levy continues to be a danger to women and children,” said Sarah Neely, Operation Rescue’s Chief Operating Officer who filed OR’s complaint against Levy.
Malpractice Atrocities
Malpractice cases noted on Levy’s Nevada licensing profile include the following:
- In 1995, Levy’s insurance company paid out $6 million in a court settlement related to a misread ultrasound that resulted in a brain damaged infant.
- In 2002, Levy used a hot weighted speculum during surgery, causing second and third degree burns to a woman’s labia and perineum. He settled the ensuing lawsuit for $7,500.
- In 2007, Levy’s “alleged negligence” resulted in a perforated uterus after which the woman died. For her life, Levy’s insurance company paid a settlement of $20,000.
Birth Control “Care-less” Center
Levy currently conducts abortions at the Birth Control Care Center in Las Vegas, which has had problems of its own. In October 2024, the BCCC’s accreditation with Quad A was immediately suspended due to the “serious nature of deficiencies” found during a failed inspection earlier that month. Instead of correcting the deficiencies, BCCC instead withdrew their accreditation and supposedly applied elsewhere for the accreditation needed to operate in Nevada. It is unclear if any accreditation was ever issued.
“We are appalled that Adam Levy has been allowed to escape any disciplinary action for his egregious conduct,” said Newman. “The NSBME has been derelict in their duties to protect the public and we demand that the Board make things right by removing Levy’s medical license so no others may suffer the same fate as those two abused young girls or those injured or killed by his apparent negligence.”

Take Action!
The NSBME may want to sweep this serious issue under the rug, but we cannot! Please contact the NSBME and ask them to open an honest and thorough investigation into Adam Levy, then protect the public by revoking his license to practice medicine in Nevada.
Please respectfully contact Nick M. Spirtos, President, NSBME.
