Las Vegas, NV – A to Z Women’s Center states on its website, “You can feel comfortable and safe knowing that your abortion will be performed in a hospital-like setting by a highly experienced specialist in Ob/Gyn and abortion care.”
Yet, two serious emergencies that required hospital emergency room care were reported to 911 in less than two weeks. Both were reports of women hemorrhaging after abortions.
The first incident involved a 34-year-old woman who had been 17 weeks along in her pregnancy. The call was made at 12:20 p.m. on March 17 by an employee who identified herself as a supervisor: “We need an ambulance because her bleeding is not slowing down,” she said.
The emergency vehicle arrived within 10 minutes, and the woman was transported to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center, a Level 2 Trauma Center, also within 10 minutes. See CAD.
The second 911 call, on March 31, 2022, at 3:21 p.m., was due to a 33-year-old woman experiencing “continuous and excessive bleeding.”
When the dispatcher asked if the hemorrhaging woman was pregnant, the caller stated, “Everything was removed. So, she’s not pregnant anymore.” She added that the woman had three prior c-sections.
The emergency vehicle arrived onsite on 3:31 p.m. and delivered the woman to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center at 3:40 p.m. See CAD.
Operation Rescue reported on a similar succession of emergencies last year when three women were hospitalized with life-threatening abortion hemorrhages within an eight-week span of time.
“This dangerous abortion business is hardly the safe ‘hospital-like’ setting it claims to be,” said Operation Rescue President Troy Newman. “The women who place their trust in the abortionists there, not only will inevitably experience long-term negative effects, but also face the immediate risk of being transferred to an actual hospital for their life-threatening injuries.”
