Illegal late-term abortions suspected after authorities find dozens of frozen bodies dating back 30 years
Philadelphia, PA – Authorities investigating an abortion death raided a West Philadelphia abortion clinic for the second time in two days and made a grisly discovery. Dozens of apparently late-term fetuses were found frozen, some dating back 30 years.
Investigators are now examining the remains to determine if illegal late-term abortions were done.
Police and Federal authorities raided the abortion clinic run by Kermit Gosnell after an abortion patient died last November. Massive amounts of drugs found in the victim’s system led authorities to suspect that Gosnell was illegally prescribing pain-killers. There were indications that the victim had been treated by unlicensed personnel.
Gosnell’s medical license has been suspended. The suspension order described “deplorable and unsanitary” conditions at the clinic, indicating that “there was blood on the floor, and parts of aborted fetuses were displayed in jars.”

The order declared Gosnell to be “an immediate and clear danger to the public health and safety.”
The clinic is temporarily closed. No charges have yet been filed.
“Here is yet another filthy abortion mill with another unlicensed abortion worker causing another abortion death in another shop of horrors. This is not the exception to the rule in our nation’s abortion clinics. It is standard operating procedure,” said Operation Rescue President Troy Newman. “This clinic is no better than a back alley abortion mill, and in fact may be worse. Collecting the remains of dead babies over a 30 year time frame is reminiscent of the actions of deranged serial killers who keep body parts as trophies. It doesn’t get much sicker than that.”
This news comes on the heels of news of another abortion death in New York last month. Operation Rescue filed a complaint in that case and a formal investigation has begun.
