A State Representative is now calling for criminal charges

Tampa, FL — New details have emerged concerning the Florida Medical Board Hearing held on Friday where Pierre Renelique’s medical license was revoked, including hints of other botched abortions, his callous disregard for the safety of his patients, and his shocking ignorance of medical equipment.
According to the Associated Press, Relelique told the Board that he did not attend to Sycloria Williams, the teen who birthed a live baby, Shanice Denice Osbourne, at his Hialeah abortion clinic when she was in labor because he was attending to another patient who was bleeding.
“So, in other words, he couldn’t take care of William’s botched abortion because he was trying to tend to a second botched abortion,” said Operation Rescue spokesperson Cheryl Sullenger. “The Health Department got it right when it declared Renelique a danger to the public.”
Board member Dr. Jason Rosenberg rebuked Renelique for his “callous disregard” for Williams, saying, “You acted as though you had no interest in treating this patient.”
Renelique was also tested on his knowledge of medical equipment, which he failed miserably. The AP reported:

During the board’s questioning, Dr. Elizabeth D. Tucker, an obstetrician-gynecologist from Pensacola, asked Renelique about three different types of medical forceps. Renelique replied that he possessed each of the instruments.
After each question, Tucker also held up a metal instrument, different from the one she had named and inquired about. One of the tools was a metal rod with an arrow attached at the tip.
Tucker asked Renelique if he had that. He replied that he did.
“For the record, these are from my antique collection,” she said later. “We don’t use these in terminations.”

Renelique also admitted that when he finally did arrive to attend to Williams, he was so confused and unaware of her condition that he started an abortion procedure on the sedated woman even though she had delivered an hour earlier. 
“That’s when one of the employees came to me and said, ‘Dr. Renelique, what are you looking for?’ I said, ‘I’m looking for a fetus.’ And she said, ‘What fetus?'”
State Representative Anitere Flores is now calling for criminal charges against Renelique and his accomplices.
“These events are nothing short of murder. It is our duty to call for immediate charges to be filed to ensure that no other young women become victims of this clinic,” she said.
“We are thankful that others are now seeing what we have been reporting on for the past two years, and are joining our call for criminal charges,” said Sullenger. “One has to wonder, though, how many women could have been spared and how many babies could have been saved, if the authorities had acted more swiftly. But, as the saying goes, it’s better late than never.”
