Wichita, KS – About forty-five Christians gathered in prayer outside the Sedgwick County Court on opening day of George Tiller’s criminal trial. A prayer presence was maintained at the court throughout the day.
The group was led by Rev. Pat Mahoney. Members of the International House of Prayer and the Justice House of Prayer lined up in front of the court around midday and prayed with red “LIFE” tape on their mouths to stand in solidarity with the preborn babies that have no voice.
In the evening a wonderful crowd of at least 60 people gathered at Living Word Outreach for an energetic time of praise and prayer. Rev. Mahoney, Troy Newman, and Cheryl Sullenger emphasized to the group that the case needed specific prayer for prosecution, the jury, and for all involved.
Because of the far-reaching implications of this trial, Rev. Mahoney is encouraging those who can to fast during the court proceedings.
Prayer vigils will continue every morning at 8 AM at the court and each evening at 7 PM at Living Word Outreach, at 3033 S. Hillside in Wichita while the trial lasts.
We invite everyone to continue to stand with us in prayer at this critical hour.
