Anniversary of Roe v. Wade’s Overturn
Operation Rescue is cosponsoring a national prayer event at the U.S. Capitol on June 24, the one-year anniversary of Roe v. Wade being overturned. We are incredibly thankful for that long-awaited, celebratory day when the 1973 landmark Supreme Court decision was finally overturned. Yet, the heart behind Roe is still active in our culture and government institutions.
We now find ourselves at a pivotal time in history. And each of us has been purposefully placed here for such a time as this!
Only God can change the heart of a man or woman. For that reason, prayer and fasting is the answer.
America is only one national election away from codifying abortion, which would leave innocent babies growing in their mother’s wombs completely unprotected from cruel, undeserved death. If you have followed Operation Rescue for any length of time, you have borne witness to the grave risk abortion poses to mothers as well.
With the increased number of women obtaining chemical abortions, not only are dangerous complications quadrupling, but women are being severely traumatized by the bloody, painful process that leaves them with the shocking, visual realization that they have willingly participated in the killing of their own babies.
We invite you to join Operation Rescue, Stanton Public Policy Center, and other pro-life organizations and leaders across the nation as we cry out to God for repentance and healing:
U.S. Capitol (West side of the building at Union Square) Saturday, June 24, 2023 | 1 p.m. – 3 p.m.
“We hope you can join hands with us to pray for this urgent, life-or-death moment in history,” said Operation Rescue President Troy Newman. “We are praying and believing we will see a culture that celebrates every life and makes abortion an unthinkable horror of the past.”
“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land” (2 Chronicles 7:14).
