Wichita, KS – Operation Rescue will hold a press conference on the eve of the 35th memorial of Roe v. Wade to release compelling evidence, including some previously unpublished documentation, that illegal late-term abortions may be continuing at Women’s Health Care Services, the late-term abortion mill operated by George R. Tiller.
Operation Rescue conducted a covert investigation into late-term abortions at WHCS. Results of that investigation, will be released for the first time.
Press Conference Details
WHEN: January 21, 2008, 1:00 PM
WHERE: 3013 E. Central Ave, Wichita, KS at Operation Rescue’s new national headquarters located in a former abortion building.
Tiller is currently under investigation by a Sedgwick County grand jury for suspected illegal late-term abortions. Operation Rescue President Troy Newman testified before the grand jury on Wednesday.
Tiller also faces 19 criminal charges for having committed illegal late-term abortions without the second opinion of an unaffiliated physician. Those charges are set for trial in March.
“Kansas laws were enacted to protect viable babies past 22 weeks gestation. We will release strong evidence that viable babies in the very latest stages of pregnancy are being criminally aborted when the lives and health of their mothers are not in jeopardy,” said Newman. “This is evidence the public has a right to know. It is evidence that demands a verdict.”
