Small Group Training Sessions and Leadership Classes are Forming Now

Wichita, KS — Operation Rescue President Troy Newman was recently certified to lead small groups and to identify and train new small group leaders for the innovating worldview video series known as The Truth Project.
Newman met with the President of the Focus on the Family Institute, Dr. Del Tackett, and discussed plans to make Operation Rescue’s new headquarters in Wichita a training center to recruit new leaders in America’s culture war. Operation Rescue is currently renovating a former abortion clinic that it purchased and closed last year into office and meeting space, which will include a memorial to the pre-born.
Dr. Tackett, like Newman, is an ordained Elder in the Presbyterian Church in America.
Both Newman and Tackett believe that the fundamental problem in America is the lack of a clear understanding of the Word of God and with it, the appropriate, relevant application of the Holy Scriptures in our lives. The purpose of the Truth Project, which Dr. Tackett has been preparing for many years now, including teaching it in a seminary setting, is to facilitate transformation in the body of Christ.
“This 12-part series opens and explains the Scriptures in a way rarely equaled,” said Dr. James Dobson, Focus on the Family’s founder.
The DVD lectures include other well-known reformed theologians such as Os Guinness, Ravi Zacharias, and R.C. Sproul.
“The Truth Project is a powerful, high-caliber presentation. Quality video graphics coupled with excellent teaching from God’s Word will impact people from every age group, and challenge them to grow in their faith,” said Newman. “Focus on the Family has out done themselves by producing a timeless theological tool that can be used to train and equip Christians at all levels. I’m sure it will be used well into the next decade.”
