200 supporters gather in support of Rep. Kinzer’s call for charges against late-term abortionist George Tiller
Topeka, KS — In a well-prepared speech to a crowd of 200 supporters and numerous reporters, Kansas State Representative Lance Kinzer laid out a case for serious concerns that the state law banning abortions over 21 weeks gestation is being violated by Wichita abortionist George R. Tiller.
Kinzer was joined Monday afternoon in front of the State Capitol by five other legislators as he explained the law, exposed what he called the “sham argument” of concerns over patient privacy, and played a short audio clip taken from an interview with Dr. Paul McHugh, a renowned psychiatrist who reviewed Tiller abortion records and stated that no record he saw supported late-abortions under the law. Kinzer ended by calling for Attorney General Paul Morrison to enforce the rule of law and stop Tiller from committing further illegal late-term abortions.
Morrison, an abortion supporter and beneficiary of political help from campaign mailings and phone calls linked to Tiller, has delayed for months a decision on whether he will charge the notorious abortionist. Morrison’s office is now promising an announcement by the end of June.
“Rep. Kinzer articulately expressed the concerns thousands of people across America that the lives of innocent, viable babies are being needlessly taken because the laws of Kansas are not being enforced,” said Operation Rescue President Troy Newman. “We join with Rep. Kinzer in calling for Attorney General Morrison to enforce the law, and urge the speedy arrest of Tiller.”
