Jacksonville, Florida – On May 25, 2023, at about 3:30 p.m., multiple emergency vehicles were dispatched to A Woman’s Choice of Jacksonville. A pro-lifer captured video footage of the emergency as the young woman was wheeled out on a gurney and loaded into an ambulance.
Abortionist Herman Miller was seen leaving the building (photo captured with time-stamp) about an hour before the ambulance arrived. It is unknown whether he was responsible for the woman’s injury, but he appears to have been on duty that day.
Miller was previously disciplined by the Florida Board of Medicine for killing a 16-year-old girl who was 22 weeks along in her pregnancy. He perforated her uterus multiple times in multiple sites during a botched abortion (see pages 18-19 for description).
In this case, it is not known whether the young woman was subjected to a chemical abortion or a surgical abortion, as this facility executes babies with either method. A Woman’s Choice performs surgical abortions up to 15 weeks gestation, the latest currently allowed by law in the state of Florida.
Though an eyewitness secured evidence of the emergency, the 911 records custodian responded by stating “after a diligent search, our office has located no records which are responsive to your request.” However, by searching Jacksonville Fire and Rescue’s publicly available dispatch recordings, Operation Rescue was able to determine the ambulance was called to the scene to treat an allergic reaction.
Because the 911 recording and computer-aided dispatch transcript were withheld, it is not known whether the woman experienced an allergic reaction to Mifepristone or Misoprostol, the drugs used to induce a chemical abortion, or if it was due to anesthesia used for a surgical abortion. Other information concerning the young woman’s condition was suppressed as well.
“Suspicion is certainly heightened since this publicly available information is being withheld, especially when eyewitnesses captured evidence, and the dispatch recording confirms what was seen,” said Operation Rescue President Troy Newman.
This is not the first time records custodians have attempted to keep dangerous abortion emergencies at this facility under the radar.
Florida has become an abortion destination for surrounding southern states that either protect babies at an earlier gestational age or have full bans in place. Though a 6-week heartbeat law passed the Florida legislature and was signed by Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) in April, it has yet to be enacted.
The Florida Supreme Court will determine whether privacy laws are violated in the previously enacted 15-week ban, which will indicate whether a privacy issue exists with the 6-week ban. Oral arguments will be heard September 8. If the court rules in favor of the state in the 15-week ban, the 6-week ban will be enacted.
This Jacksonville abortion facility’s website is dedicated to ensuring women are not redirected to pro-lifers who provide hopeful alternatives and encourage them to decide against aborting their babies. The homepage consists of warnings and instructions to ignore pro-life sidewalk counselors and stay away from the nearby pregnancy resource center which it claims is a “fake clinic” with “medically inaccurate information to talk you out of having an abortion.”

“Lies are continually spread about the supposed harmlessness and safety of abortion,” said Newman. “In order for that lie to propagate, the truth must be suppressed.
“We will keep bringing the American public the truth about the evil that takes place inside these blood-thirsty killing centers. Just as importantly, we will continue to expose the individuals and entities that conceal the truth and, therefore, participate in the greatest evil of our day.”
