Orlando Planned Parenthood Sends Woman to Emergency Room with Possible Rupture
By Anne Reed
Orlando, Florida — On Tuesday, October 10, 2023, shortly after 10 a.m., an ambulance was observed at East Orlando Health Center at 11500 University Boulevard. A sidewalk counselor captured photos of the ambulance while on site.
The Planned Parenthood employee who made the 911 call stated the woman came for an ultrasound and was suffering from a late ectopic pregnancy that may have ruptured. When questioned by the dispatch officer, the caller stated the woman was bleeding and suffering with a lot of pain. She was unable to provide the patient’s age or stage of pregnancy.
An ectopic pregnancy occurs when the newly conceived child implants and grows outside the uterus, usually in the fallopian tube. In this situation, there is no chance of survival for the child. And the woman’s life is endangered by the threat of a ruptured fallopian tube.
Ectopic pregnancies comprise up to 2% of all pregnancies and account for 2.7% of pregnancy related deaths. These are life-threatening emergencies that require immediate surgery.
It is not known whether this woman was seeking an abortion, if she had already taken drugs to induce a chemical abortion, or if she had requested an ultrasound to explain her symptoms. But it is certain that an ultrasound confirms the presence of an ectopic pregnancy.
This is one of the reasons why Operation Rescue and pro-life groups nationwide have been so adamant about reinstating safety protocols for mifepristone, the first of the two-step abortion pill regimen.
“The disturbing truth about the Abortion Cartel’s lack of concern for women is revealed in our 2023 annual survey,” said Operation Rescue President Troy Newman. “The number of abortion clinics that added mail-order abortion pills nearly doubled.
“With these mail-order abortions, no preliminary exam is performed to determine whether an ectopic pregnancy exists. These moms are exposing themselves to incredible danger, and the so-called medical professionals who know better should be held accountable for recklessly endangering these women.”

The symptoms experienced during a chemical abortion and as a result of an ectopic pregnancy rupture are the same: pain and heavy bleeding. Therefore, a mom suffering from these symptoms during an induced chemical abortion could fail to seek immediate medical attention required to save her life after a ruptured ectopic pregnancy.
This Florida Planned Parenthood facility performs abortions up to 15 weeks gestation, the current limit established and enforced by Florida law. However, the Florida Supreme Court will soon decide whether a six-week ban, signed into law last August, will be upheld. Meanwhile, pro-life and pro-abortion groups are collecting signatures for competing ballot initiatives. To place the measures on the ballot for a vote, both groups have until February 1 to secure nearly 900,000 signatures.
Operation Rescue is co-hosting a rally and March for Life this Saturday in Jacksonville, Florida, as an expression of support for children in the womb who deserve equal protection under the law.
“We hope and pray this unknown woman in Orlando received the emergency medical attention needed to save her life,” Newman said. “We are deeply saddened that so many women have been fooled into thinking that Planned Parenthood and other killing centers are the answer for their dilemmas.
“We will not stop fighting to protect women and children by insisting that abortion facilities are held accountable and closed. And we will continue to spread the truth about the dangers of abortion and the recklessness of the profit-driven abortionists who callously kill babies, and injure or kill women.”
