Aurora, Illinois – It looks like Planned Parenthood in Aurora, Illinois, is determined to get a jumpstart on injuring women in 2025.
Not even two months into the new year and two women have already required emergency transport from this dangerous facility – both for uncontrolled bleeding. Operation Rescue was provided a copy of the 911 recordings and incident reports by Pro-Life Action League.
The first botched abortion took place on January 18. A Planned Parenthood staffer called 911 to request emergency transport for a 25-year-old woman experiencing “heavy bleeding” after an abortion. This facility commits dangerous second-trimester abortions up to 22 weeks.
The second emergency took place just three weeks later. A 36-year-old woman required an ambulance for what the Planned Parenthood staffer casually described as “just bleeding.” In fact, that was about all the staffer seemed to know about the woman. She had to put the phone down to find out the woman’s age and answered “I don’t know” or “the doctor’s going to call” to other crucial questions about the hemorrhaging patient’s condition.
Just five years ago, this Planned Parenthood botched another abortion, leaving a woman unresponsive and in dire need of emergency care. The staffer on that 911 call didn’t even know the address of the clinic, wasting precious moments as she also had to put down the phone to gather the most basic information.
“I guess this clinic has never heard of a cordless phone,” quipped Troy Newman, President of Operation Rescue. “Joking aside, these 911 calls reveal Planned Parenthood’s complete unpreparedness to deal with the life-threatening abortion injuries their shoddy abortionists inflict. Uncontrolled bleeding can be an indicator of all sorts of complications, but very often a perforated uterus. With that kind of injury, a woman could easily bleed to death in a short amount of time. Yet there is rarely any urgency in these staffers’ voices. 911 calls are just business as usual for them.”
For this Planned Parenthood, botched abortions are definitely ‘business as usual.’ Operation Rescue, along with Pro-Life Action League, has documented more than a dozen emergencies at this facility since it opened in 2012.
“Abortion injuries at subpar facilities like this Planned Parenthood are rampant in the abortion industry,” said Newman. “We receive so many reports that our small staff has a constant backlog of investigations, while the abortion lobby just keeps shouting ‘abortion is safe.’ The mountain of evidence says otherwise, and Operation Rescue has launched a petition asking President Trump and his administration to fully investigate the rate of abortion injuries in America.”
In addition to investigating abortion injuries, “Petitioning for Justice” also challenges the President to establish a national vehicle for mandatory reporting of abortion deaths and injuries.
“The American people – especially women – deserve to know the truth about abortion complications,” added Newman.
