Lawsuit Claims Use of Advanced, Illegal Technological Methods

Attleboro, MA — Massachusetts abortion business Four Women (FW) filed a lawsuit on September 5 against Abundant Hope Pregnancy Center (AHPC), also known as Attleboro Women’s Health Center (AWHC), located adjacent to FW. The abortion business is accusing Abundant Hope of unlawful practices aimed at interfering with women seeking abortions.
In the lawsuit, FW claims the center engages in deceptive advertising and uses technologically advanced methods to reach abortion-vulnerable women, preventing moms from obtaining abortions.
In an attempt to identify methods of deceiving women, the lawsuit alleges the center’s website “includes prompts to make appointments in connection with abortion care” (emphasis added).
It only takes a few seconds of perusing the pregnancy resource center’s professional website to see offerings of material resources and emotional and spiritual support. Specific offerings include counseling and Bible-based abortion recovery, as well as free pregnancy testing and ultrasound imaging. No indication is given on the website that a woman can schedule an abortion.
The suit claims the pregnancy center “employed more advanced technological methods” to intercept communications between FW and patients scheduling appointments. The abortion clinic provided screenshots of FW patients claiming they received phone calls from the pregnancy resource center after chatting with a FW’s scheduling bot. FW is, therefore, accusing the pregnancy resource center of hacking its confidential online portal.
Although, FW claims the pregnancy center utilized unlawful tactics that were allegedly identified as early as 2023, a Boston Globe article noted that “The Attleboro Police Department did not receive any reporting incidents or police reports on this alleged conduct.”
“There is no way to know whether these alleged electronic communications with patients are true and accurate,” said Operation Rescue President Troy Newman, “or whether patients simply got confused about the contacts they had made as they searched online. Of course, those are not the only two possibilities.”
The lawsuit references the 1994 Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act intended to “shield” women from interference when seeking an abortion. It states that some pro-life organizations have pursued “more sophisticated interference strategies” as a result.
“This legal action is proof that women are changing their minds when receiving hopeful, truthful alternatives,” said Newman. “This is an attempt to interfere with the work of Abundant Hope Pregnancy Resource Center as it offers life-giving help to abortion vulnerable women and to women traumatized from past abortions.”
In addition to the traumatic emotional and spiritual effects from which post-abortion women suffer, FW has severely injured women during abortions and has a reputation of repeated forms of noncompliance – so much so that the Department of Health and Human Services threatened sanctions.
One of the abortion facility’s worst botched abortions was described in a lawsuit filed against abortionist Marc Hochler for perforating a woman’s uterus and colon. The severe injury led to pneumonia, wound infection, scarring, multiple surgeries, and ongoing reproductive complications. Gruesome pathology findings indicated a 5×4 cm portion of the aborted child’s skull was left in the woman’s body.
“What happens inside these killing centers is cruel and disgusting, while pregnancy resource centers work to save lives,” added Newman. “Ever since Roe v. Wade was overturned, the attacks against these life-affirming centers have increased in number and severity. We must keep them in our prayers.
“When women decide against abortion; babies are saved; moms walk along a much safer, fulfilling path; and abortion centers lose money. It’s a win for everyone, except the abortionists.”
