Beverly Hills, CA – Josepha Seletz is one of a handful of abortionists that openly conduct abortions throughout all nine months of pregnancy. Her high-end abortion clinic, located on North La Cienega Boulevard in Beverly Hills, has earned her the moniker “Abortionist to the Stars.”
In the past three years, Operation Rescue has documented ten medical emergencies at her Pro-Choice Medical Center — which also goes by the name Sinai Surgical Center — that required emergency ambulance transport – primarily to Mt. Sinai Medical Center, where Seletz holds hospital privileges.
Recently obtained 911 records revealed an unusual incident that occurred at Seletz’s abortion facility on March 10, 2020 – one that thankfully did not result in the death of an unborn baby.
The 911 call conversation between a Pro-Choice Medical Center caller and the 911 dispatcher described the situation.
911: Okay, and what’s the problem there?
PCMC: There’s a patient who came in with hyperemesis, and she hasn’t been established as a patient yet, but she’s not feeling well, and so –
The condition described by the caller is known as “hyperemesis gravidarum,” a pregnancy complication characterized by severe nausea, vomiting, and weight loss above what would normally be considered “morning sickness,” and does not subside after the first trimester of pregnancy. It can lead to dehydration. Symptoms persist throughout pregnancy in less than half the cases, and treatments are available. It is not an easy condition to have, but with support and proper medical care, women can get through it.
It is obvious the woman was at the facility for an abortion, since that is its only service.
Since the woman was never checked in at the abortion facility, it is clear that the Pro-Choice Medical Center did not make the diagnosis of hyperemesis gravidarum, which requires an examination by a physician. This means another doctor likely diagnosed her and referred her for an abortion.
The 911 conversation continued.
911: I’m sorry. What is the problem she’s having?
PCMC: She’s having chest pain and, um –
911: Chest pains?
PCMC: Um-hmm. And her husband wants her to go to the ER. He doesn’t want to be here.
Thanks to her husband, paramedics were dispatched and the woman was taken to Mt. Sinai Medical Center for treatment instead of receiving an abortion.
“That husband probably saved the life of his child by getting her legitimate medical care instead of an abortion,” said Newman. “He is a hero for protecting his wife and family. We hope this woman does well and gets the help she needs. We are praying for her for recovery and for a safe delivery of a healthy and happy baby.”
