Pro-life efforts pay off big as sidewalk counselors take to the streets.
San Diego, CA – A pro-life mom vacationing with her family in San Diego walked into the Family Planning Associates abortion clinic on Saturday for a free pregnancy test and was able to help five women make decisions to keep their babies. One of the women who changed her mind about having an abortion was already in her hospital gown when she encountered the undercover pro-lifer in the restroom. After a woman-to-woman sharing of hearts, the abortion-bound woman got dressed and left the clinic.
Sidewalk counselors outside were able to offer help to at least two of the women who left the abortion clinic.
“It is not many people who would take time out of their San Diego vacation with the family to go and do what this woman did. As a result, five babies will now have a chance to live, love, and enrich the world,” said Cheryl Sullenger, Senior Policy Advisor for Operation Rescue. “She is to be commended.”
Meanwhile, Larry Donlan of Rescue the Heartland reports that five babies were spared from abortion due to sidewalk counseling efforts outside LeRoy Carhart’s late-term abortion mill in Bellevue, Nebraska. Donlan, who drives one of Operation Rescue’s Truth Trucks, says that the babies saved over a three day period last week.
The saves were of great encouragement to those who minister on the streets.
“Ministry at the abortion clinics can often seem discouraging, but when we have days like these, it puts us on top of the world,” said Operation Rescue President Troy Newman. “There are few greater joys in life than saving a child from death. We are thankful for the faithful men and women who reach out at their local abortion clinics, and encourage those who have never done so consider taking a shift at their abortion clinic. It will certainly give you a new perspective, and you might even help save a life!”
