Abortionist Savita Ginde has written a book, The Real Cost of Fake News: The Hidden Truth Behind the Planned Parenthood Video Scandal, that details her experiences as the subject of a Center for Medical Progress undercover video.
“In this book, I will set the record straight and share by side of the story, with the truth and the facts,” Ginde writes.
But does she? To read her brief 102-page missive, one might conclude Ginde serves as the bright moral center of the universe. However, her fanciful attempt to portray herself as the brave, intelligent, and oh-so-tolerant hero/victim of her narrative falls flat in the cold hard light of reality.
Ginde worked as the Vice President and Medical Director for Planned Parenthood Rocky Mountains in the summer of 2015 when the weekly release of the CMP undercover videos shocked the nation with evidence that Planned Parenthood was engaged in the illegal sale of aborted baby remains for profit.
The video featuring Ginde was published on July 30, 2015. By August 3, after someone she identifies as an “anti-choice” activist snaped a photo of her home, Ginde dramatically flees from her home in fear with her infant twins, an incident she remembers bitterly numerous times throughout her short book.

Deceptive Editing?
Ginde complaints that the CMP videos were “deceptively edited” – buzz-words from Planned Parenthood that were then echoed Ad Infinium by a friendly and compliant mainstream news media.
Ginde also accused David Daleiden, who she had invited to meet her at Planned Parenthood in Denver to discuss a possible contract for the procurement of tissues and organs harvested from aborted babies, of using the videos to “demonize” her and her work.
“They pasted together the conversations and even attributed phrases and statements to me that I did not say,” Ginde claimed.
This was an allegation she repeatedly stated as fact. Ginde claimed that the words, “It’s a baby,” that were heard in the July 30, 2015 video were falsely attributed to her and had been dubbed in.
However, there is evidence that these allegations were fabricated by Ginde or others to discredit the videos that had seriously damaged Planned Parenthood’s public image. An answer must be given to Ginde’s false charges.
Forensic Analysis
Anticipating that the authenticity of the CMP videos would be questioned, the public interest legal group, Alliance Defending Freedom, hired Coalfire Systems, Inc., a reputable cyber-security firm with a digital forensics laboratory that has expertise in digital information analysis, to conduct a forensic analysis of the CMP videos.
In contrast, Planned Parenthood hired a political dirty tricks group called Fusion GPS – which has no expertise in forensic video analysis — to produce a phony report debunking the videos as being deceptively edited.
Now we know that Fusion GPS was also involved in producing the fake “Russian Dossier” against President Donald J. Trump that was used by elements within the Obama-era FBI and U.S. Department of Justice to wrongfully obtain FISA warrants that enabled them to spy on U.S. citizens with ties to Trump – and even on Trump himself. This deception destroys the credibility of all of Fusion GPS’s work, including the so-called video “analysis” done on the CMP videos for Planned Parenthood.
While it is true that Daleiden produced “summary” videos that were indeed edited for length, he then posted the full-length videos so viewers could see the context of statements in the summary videos.
Coalfire Systems determined that there were separate mp3 audio recordings made simultaneously to the video recordings but on different devices. Coalfire Systems analysts compared the separate audio recordings with the full-length audio on the video recordings for accuracy and signs of tampering.
Their report, dated September 28, 2015, explained it like this: “Much like the footage from the two separate cameras, Coalfire was able to time align the audio recordings to the video footage to allow for review of any inconsistencies or anomalies in their content with both the video and audio recordings from the two video cameras.”
Coalfire was then able to conclude the following:

Coalfire’s analysis of the recorded media files contained on the flash drive indicates that the video recordings are authentic and show no evidence of manipulation or editing. This conclusion is supported by the consistency of the video file date and time stamps, the video timecode, as well as the folder and file naming scheme. The uniformity between the footage from the cameras from the two Investigators also support the evidence that the video recordings are authentic. [Emphasis added.]

Coalfire Systems, Inc. also concluded that the video and audio had only been edited to remove such footage as bathroom breaks and car travel to the locations where the investigations took place.
Ironically, Ginde wrote in her book, “If I got caught doing something wrong, I would always fess up and say, ‘Yes, I did it.’ I wasn’t good at it because it never felt right to me.”
Perhaps she is right about not being good at lying, but that doesn’t mean she hasn’t tried. When Ginde insists the CMP recordings were altered to dub in words she never said, Ginde is either lying or has a mistaken memory of what she actually said.
Bad Breakup
Ginde’s book seems to have two main purposes: attack pro-life supporters, including those who produced the undercover videos, and secondly, to vent her grievances against her former employer, Planned Parenthood. Both purposes relay the feeling that she is trying to get revenge.
Ginde recounts her anger at Planned Parenthood for failing to provide enough security to prevent the CMP investigation and their failure to address her fearful security concerns after the videos were released. Prior to the video releases, Ginde had expressed belief that more security precautions were needed. She felt her concerns fell on deaf ears within the Planned Parenthood organization.
In frustration, Ginde and her husband, who she says worked in the security field, created a PowerPoint presentation that made security suggestions to Planned Parenthood staff, which later shared with Planned Parenthood’s national head of security. That presentation was apparently adapted and sent out to Planned Parenthood employees without attribution to the Ginde’s after the video releases.
This was a sore point that Ginde later brought up during an angry rant during a meeting with Planned Parenthood’s then-CEO Cecile Richards in front of at least 400 others. Ginde stood up at that meeting and castigated Richards for “blowing off” security concerns then plagiarizing her security presentation without appreciation or attribution. She was angry about Planned Parenthood’s lack of concern when her family moved out of her home in fear.
Later, Vicki Cowart, CEO of Planned Parenthood Rocky Mountains, expressed displeasure over Ginde’s outburst at the Richards meeting and blamed her for Daleiden’s infiltration of their abortion facility. Ginde argued back, telling Cowert she was out of touch.
“I realized then that Vicki was not only wicked, she was too disconnected from everything that happened…” Ginde wrote.
Whether Ginde quit or was fired from Planned Parenthood seemed to have been left intentionally vague. She claims her “separation” from Planned Parenthood was very unpleasant because of Cowart.
Hypocritical moralizing
Ginde complains bitterly that her life was negatively impacted by the CMP videos. But there has been a real cost of Planned Parenthood’s own “Fake News” in the form lawsuits brought by Planned Parenthood and the National Abortion Federation against Daleiden and Troy Newman, Operation Rescue’s President who served as a CMP board member during the undercover investigation. These suits spawned a gag order that blocked nearly 500 hours of unseen video from public viewing and has deprived the pro-life defendants their First Amendment rights to speak about the videos — along with an immeasurable about of money for their defense.
Ginde gets preachy near the end of her book with her call for “tolerance” and “basic human civility and decency” in the public discussion of abortion, yet repeatedly refers to pro-life people as “nasty,” “anti-choice,” and “terrorists.” She describes the First Amendment rights of pro-life people as “bullying and harassment.”
She discussed in derogatory terms how what she considered to be objectional behavior on the part of pro-life supporters was “sanctioned by their religion,” and referenced what she called “the deep-seated hypocrisy” within Christianity.
“The whole notion of life beginning at conception is a fabricated, unprovable position to take,” she wrote in a condemnation of the strongly held beliefs of others.
Ginde explained how she viewed Christian pro-life activists: “I believe that the protestors who made my life a living hell are terrorists, plain and simple,” she said.
Ginde then makes the dubious claim that pro-life women who “terrorized” her would come to her for their own abortions only to return to protesting the next day. Why would she even allow into the abortion facility someone who supposedly terrorized her? Why would she move out of her home in fear of these same people then pretend she happily invited them in and gave them abortions. It makes no sense.
She criticizes pro-life groups as heartless, even though she is the one that makes her living coldly dismembering human babies in the womb. She ignores the thousands of pro-life people who have adopted children and work or generously give to centers that offer free help to women during pregnancy and after.
So, after attacking pro-life supporters and their religious beliefs in every way imaginable, Ginde’s call to “shift the conversation to a more positive direction” by calling for us all to “be more respectful of one another” comes off as the apex of hypocrisy.
She ends – inexplicably – with an attack on Melania Trump’s Be Best campaign against bullying, and calls for the campaign to be done the “right way” by “raising the bar on how we behave.”
Savita Ginde might well benefit from hard look at the mirror. If she wants a “Be Best” world, she can begin by amending her own self-righteous attitude that is on full display in her “Fake News” book. Maybe then she can face the reality of her own culpability for having engaged in the barbaric taking of innocent lives through abortion.
Sadly, as long as Ginde remains cocooned in her own “Fake News” narrative of victimhood and moral superiority, she may never be freed from the anger and bitterness that obviously continues to consume her.
